Have you ever experienced anything like this, for example, when working hours are 11 am is when your one job is not yet finished. Busy work but it is not productive and efficient? One thing you have to realize that busyness is not the same as being productive. You can only spend so many hours without producing anything. There are some principles that you should consider in managing time so that you can work productively and effectively. Experts say these things are:
Arrange with a Good Plan
Ever heard the expression, If you fail to plan, you plan to fail "if you fail to plan, then you plan for failure". Well it's true (because I myself have experienced it). If you go about your day without any idea of what to do and how to do it, you will spend most of your time asking What should I do now huh?. The plan gives the first clue what was in front of you that day. Allocate some time to plan so you can group tasks and give appropriate priority and it runs.
Have a plan in the morning or the day before. You can start from a small note or even put them in the head for just a signal to the brain about what you need to accomplish that day.
Use a smart strategy for planning. When do you usually feel your energy is high, both mentally and physically? For me, time is usually between the hours of 9:00 to 12:00 is when I was "on fire". During that time I use to start or complete the tasks with high priority. The remaining time I usually use to complete the jobs with lower priority.
The plan is not rigid and is always open to adjustment at any time. Do not forget to insert a time to rest. In principle, you do for your own self-management. Learning to manage time is a great exercise for self-discipline.
Always Keep Your Focus
Often the work we allow ourselves to be soluble in several jobs at once, the term multi-tasking. Maybe you try to please your boss to say yes all the requests, but you realize you are actually just burdening yourself with stress and not necessarily what you will be good quality work.
Doing two things at once rather than just dividing your attention but also makes you less focused which consequently takes longer to finish the job. The focus of the work makes us more productive and reduce the burden of stress. Create a priority when you have to finish some work in the same period.
Whenever Maybe Avoid Disruption or Interruption
The things in the world of work today which is often a source of interruptions: telephone, email, facebook, twitter and blackberry message. Of course, this interruption can not be avoided but use your skills in self-management to handle it:
* Answer calls from people who are interested only when you're focused work. If you have had to answer, keep time to a minimum. You can call back when you have a little free.
* Check email, facebook, twitter and bbm at times only. This course is very heavy. But you can try. If not possible, try not to answer all emails every time it came on. Answer the email associated with your current job and avoid multi-tasking.
Self-management is closely related to how you manage your time everyday. Do not let external factors interfere with your productivity. If you are earning not only you but also your boss happy. Your life easier and stress was reduced
